Ingredients Information
Calcium Carbonate
Nutrients in the gastrointestinal tract are absorbed most efficiently when the environment is alkaline (pH over seven). Calcium carbonate helps to alkalize the digestive tract, allowing for optimal absorption of nutrients.
Prebiotic Vitafiber® Isomalto-Oligosaccharides (IMO)
IMO is a natural prebiotic fiber that promotes digestive health. When IMO enters the intestine, it is consumed by the probiotic bacteria, allowing the good bacteria to flourish. It has been shown in laboratory testing to greatly increase probiotic growth. Clinical studies have shown IMO to be easier to tolerate than other prebiotics like inulin and FOS.
E. faecium
Enterococcus faecium occupies the gut in substantial numbers. This probiotic improves digestive function by competitive exclusion, whereby pathogenic organisms are unable to gain footing for growth and eventually die. This probiotic has been shown to be effective in reducing antibiotic-associated diarrhea and constipation.
L. acidophilus

Amylase

Hemicellulase
Hemicellulase breaks down hemicellulose, a polysaccharide that’s present along with fiber in all plant cell walls. Hemicellulase is crucial for the breakdown of fruits, vegetables, and many grains which are known to slow digestion and absorption of various nutrients.
Cellulase
An enzyme that digests cellulose, or plant fiber. Most animals do not produce cellulase naturally and are therefore unable to use most of the energy contained in plant material. Cellulase turns fiber into energy-sustaining blood sugar that will help maintain optimal blood sugar levels.
Studies have also indicated that cellulase increases protein absorption and breaks down biofilms produced by pathogens. This helps to detoxify the intestinal tract as well as the major organ systems.
